abiogenesis does not have full definition
there is sentient life and non sentient life
there is nothing to say that sentient life didn't come first somewhere
in the cosmos, then non sentient life being the creation of sentient life
I don't know if sentience has a full definition
plants and artificial intelligence have non sentient life
what additional or lesser feature does sentience have over non-sentience?
I don't think it is experience
I don't think it is awareness
I don't think it is mind
I don't think it is senses
probably philosophy, something abstract that has not or may never be
able to be isolated outside of itself
abiogenetic engineering of plants doesn't fit the bill
I think the study of the process of abstraction and the further
rationale to practicality may lead to a sufficient definition of sentience
