Are you testing to see if this group is even a little alive?
Nope, trying to see if the problem with no posts showing up
in talk.origins since the 11th is an issue with Beagle (the
t.o server) or something wrong with either Agent or
Supernews. It seems to be Beagle, confirmed by nothing from
t.o showing up in GurgleGropes since the 11th, but posts to
s.s showing up fine.

Ah, carry on then. I don't subscribe to t.o. I can just imagine
the sort of "debates" I'd find there. If the YouTube comments
section evolved from Usenet, then why is there still Usenet? I
have absolute *proof* of the Divine Creator: Angel Hair with
clams in alfredo sauce. How else could this have happened, if not
by the Divine Guidance of the FSM?! Anyway, I'll concede to the
reality of *microevolution*, the small changes found within a
kind, but not *macroevolution*, since nobody has ever personally
observed a dog turn into a cat, without the help of powerful
psychoactive chemicals.

Meanwhile, it's been a *long* time since Graham Cooper, AKA "Adam
of the Bible" AKA Hercules, has posted here, or in the other ngs
he used to haunt. I sure hope the big guy's OK.

You've pretty much nailed it regarding the fundies and other
nuts, religious and otherwise, but I've picked up quite a
bit of *real* info from the biologists and other
professionals who post there.

I seem to recall something from him (at least I think it was
him) a few months ago about an AK-47 image in a cloud. And
I'm not sure if "OK" has ever been applicable to him...

Ed was a jerk, and a bit of a loon ("Man As Old As
Coal!!!"), but I never got the impression he was even close
to as delusional as Cooper. I'd class Ed with Ted Holden,
about 10 steps up toward sanity from Cooper.

I guess a good enough filter would make that workable. If you haven't
seen them already, Aron Ra has an interesting series of videos on
YouTube covering his phylogeny project along a narrow path to humanity.

I *think* that was quite a few months ago now. One of his claimed magic
powers was to not only see realistic shapes in clouds, but also to cause
others in his vicinity to do so. I posted some of my own cloud pictures
at one point, to demonstrate how obvious and realistic they were, but he
didn't really bite. Nobody could tell what his pics were supposed to
look like until he explained or put in outlines, but mine were clear.

As for "OK", you're right. I meant "OK" in relative terms, which for
him is a low bar. I hope he's alive, getting adequate food, etc., and
not in prison.
