Discussion:
REVISED LIST OF HISTORY'S GREATEST SCIENTISTS

IN REVERSE ORDER OF GREATNESS

(10) -- Aristotle (384BC - 322 BC) -- Great early Greek
scientist who made many advances in the natural sciences
including botany, zoology, physics, astronomy, chemistry,
meteorology and geometry

(9) -- James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879) - Made great
strides in understanding electromagnetism. His research
in electricity and kinetics laid the foundation for quantum
physics. Einstein said of Maxwell, "The work of James
Clerk Maxwell changed the world forever.

(8) -- Nikola Tesla (1856 -1943) - Work on electromagnetism
and AC current. Credited with many patents from electricity
to radio transmission.

(7) -- Otto Hahn (1879-1968) -- Great German chemist who
discovered nuclear fission (1939). Pioneering scientist in
the field of radio-chemistry. Discovered radio-active elements
and nuclear isomerism (1921). Awarded Nobel Prize for
Chemistry (1944)

(6) -- Albert Einstein. (1879 - 1955) Revolutionized modern
physics with his general theory of relativity. Al won the Nobel
Prize in Physics (1921) for his discovery of the Photoelectric
effect, which formed the basis of Quantum Theory.

(5) -- Marie Curie. (1867 - 1934) Polish physicist and chemist.
Discovered radiation and helped to apply it in the field of X ray.
She won the Nobel Prize in both chemistry and physics.

(4) Galileo. (1564 - 1642) Created one of the first modern
telescopes, therefore revolutionizing man's understanding
of the world. He successfully proved that the earth revolved
around the sun and not versa visa.

(3) Louis Pasteur. (1822 - 1895) Contributed greatly towards
the advancement of medical sciences by developing cures
for rabies, anthrax and other infectious diseases. He also
enabled the process of pasteurization to make milk safer
to drink. (Probably saved more lives than any other person.)

(2) Sir Isaac Newton. (1642-1726) A polymath who made
investigations into a whole range of key subjects including
mathematics, optics, physics and astronomy. In his Principia
Mathematica, published in 1687, he laid the foundation for
classical mechanics, explaining the Law of Gravity and the
Laws of Motion.

BUT THE WINNER IS . . .
(A drumroll, Maestro!)

(1) Ed Conrad (Not Dead Yet) -- Discovered petrified human
remains between anthracite veins proving man is as old as coal
(some 280,000,000 years -- give or take a few centuries). Did
this by filling his cellar with petrified human skulls (2),
a shitload of fingers (with fingernails), jawbones galore, teeth,
a femur, a tibia, one hemisphere of a human brain, a petrified
pee-pee, etc.

Also produced undeniable evidence that Death Does Not Exist
and that you'll be with your Loved Ones when you so-called "die."
Also established beyond all reasonable doubt that God's face
is shrouded in darkness, that He (God) has a family, that
He lives in a physical body on a planet almost a zillion light
years from earth in a universe where there are more planets
containing human life than there are grains of sand on all
of the beaches in the world.

===================

(MODERATOR'S NOTE: Charles Darwin used to be on this list
for his Theory of man's Evolution but got the boot when Ed
Conrad proved "Origin of Species" wasn't worth the papyrus
it was written on.

physics with his general theory of relativity.
